The Movies or Sims 2?

Which do you guys think is better for makind some little movies or illustrating stories? I know it seems The Movies would be the obvious answer but people have made some great stuff with Sims 2 also and you can tell the game was made with it in mind and The Movies seems to have some issues.

I've personally been very much enjoying The Movies and have almost gotten all my shots done for "The Gay." Then I'll need voice actors er something, and edit the thing.

If you want to make movies, you should get The Movies. The Sims 2 isn't specifically made for movie-making, so you'll have to find ways to get the characters to perform the animations you want them to and do some video capturing and editing, whereas The Movies does most of this stuff for you.

However, it'll take a bit of work to get all the people, staff and equipment you want, and it requires a rather high-spec PC, if I remember correctly. Also, to get them to look just right, you may need some vid editing skills, but it's minimal in contrast to Sims 2.

I've only had The Movies briefly, but I can definitely confirm that you can make a movie about Jesus battling an army of chicken people led by Hitler.

I bought the Sims 2 and an add-on pack for my sister for Christmas.

I say that if you are really interested in making movies, or have any interest in developing a story, then The Movies are the way to go.
