    The Dugeons and Dragons thread

Yeah, I know, I am in danger of negative rep for this..so I figured I should start it so any D&D loving pavilionites can have a place to post. Anyway, for those who play, I highly recommend the Living Greyhawk Campaign. You can get info for it here. I played my first event today and loved it.
Also, for those who want to get in to D&D, or are just curious as to how it works, there is a tutorial here that will give you the basic premise.
    Thats all for now.

I play D&D in a club at my school.

I also play with some of my friends on different days.

I played two games with a decent crowd, but a boring-ass dungeon master.

        "You enter the tavern."
"I sell false hurricane insurance to Guildenbane."
"... Guildenbane, roll a bluff check."

I loved D&D, though I only played AD&D when I was a kid and still don't really know how THACO worked

                Negative Rep Given: 2
Although I am glad to see the D&D players here. Dream, I don't really like AD&D either.
And Kefka, your Dungeon Master was really a moron. You'd be making a Bluff check opposed to Guildenbanes sense motive check.
So, did anyone yet check out Living Greyhawk?

You're totally right, Glueme. Spot checks and such are usually behind the screen. However, sometimes there's nothing as fun as looking at your players and saying "Everyone make a Reflex save."

Re: The Dugeons and Dragons thread

One thing I know for sure is that any DM worth his salt does all checks
that would tip off a player to something (as in a search check, sense
motive, detect lies..) in secret. Hell, I just used to randomly roll dice
behind a screen when my players were exploring to make them nervous.

*hears the pattle of dice bouncing against the screenl*

                    *****es self*

                        What was THACO, exactly?

Re: The Dugeons and Dragons thread

All I remember was that it meant "To Hit Armor Class Zero" and it was the way to see if an attack hit or not, I had no idea how to do the calculations though cause I was a kid.

                          We should D&D online, lol.

To hit Armor Class Zero? Thats just retarded. I don't need extra realism in my fantasy game....
Mabye when Pav chat is back on, we could play D&D.

I'd be playing still if I was back in Ohio, but sadly, after two months, I still don't know any D&Ders in Arizona.
Took me 15 minutes to remember how to change my signature, and this is all I came up with.
