    The Da-Vinci Code

I personally loved the book, and I'm extremely excited about the movie (watch E.T. tonight, they're showing a clip!). Director Ron Howard admit's that the movie will spark just as much controversy as the book. And I think it will create a whole new wave of fans.

I'm not much of a reader though I'm really trying to change that (Haruki Murakami, BEEYOTCH) but everyone I know detests Da Vinci Code. I won't know for sure until I read myself (doubt i will) but they lambast it for its poor... something or other. Writing... style?

I dunno, they see Dan Brown as a big fat hack. And all that hype IS an annoyance. THE 700TH HISTORY CHANNEL SPECIAL DECODING DAVINCI'S BALLS OMFG.

I admit, that if you are deeply religous in any way, this book might not be for you. Or if you are not religous at all, you may not realize how important some of these things are to some people. And about Dan Brown, he has written some amazing stuff. Even if you didn't like The Da-Vinci Code.

I'm in the dark about what the book is actually about, so I'll be looking forward to it.

I read the book and was entertained. It don't see what all the hype is about but then people are stupid and they do stupid things. Like get angry because a piece of fiction says things contradictary to the bible. Did you know that apparently there's a boycott of a bunch of companies because they say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. Did I mention people are stupid.

Yeah, Daily Show and Colbert's eating that stuff up.

But, Obsidian, it's ME. No one I know is deeply religious. I can only assume they thought it was dumb regardless of Jesusy stuff or not.

It was a good book. So was the one I picked at random from the "99 CENT BOOK BOX" at the discount grocery store.

I'm terribly picky and not at the same time.

                Magus, your friends are douchebags.

                It's an entertaining book.

Maybe it's not "literature" but it has nice bits of historic information and it's a quick read.

                            dont care about the movie.

I have contributed nothing to this topic.
