    Favorite Comic/ Graphic Novel

What are everyone's favourite comic or graphic novel?

For me it's between "Batman: the Dark Knight Returns," "Batman: The Killing Joke," and "Kingdom Come."

    So, let's hear 'em.

Ultimate Spiderman cause that's like the only thing I gots. But if they ever reset Superman and made it all cool and **** I'm jump on that. I'd love to get Death and Return just to have it.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

              Re: Favorite Comic/ Graphic Novel

I ran a comic book store for Fifteen Years, and there is no doubt in my that the single best comic book ever produced is:

              The Man, by Vaughn Bode.

Vaughn Bode is GOD! He fancied himself The Cartoon Messiah and even took the first couple steps toward establishing a religion around comics for tax purposes, but died tragically (and quite possibly happily) (erotic asphyxiation) at the height of his career in the early 1970s.

He died just about 30 years ago (omigawsh I'm old... I remember where I was when I heard...) and they still reprint his work.

The Man is the single best Comic Book EVER.

It is a one issue black and white story about a caveman and his stick, and their friend erg.

              Peace.

              MOO!

I don't want some stupid infinite universes reset. I want them to just say, "hey everyone, we're starting over so everything that's happened before hasn't happened." Marvel's ultimates aren't alternate universes. They're just starting over. DC's resets always have baggage, that's why they're doing another reset to fix everything that they missed with the last one and all the stupid ideas they've had in the past twenty years. And they're going to have another reset to fix everything they miss with this one.

Was it autoerotic asphyxiation? Cause that's the difference between dying in the happiest way possible and dying in the lamest and most embarrassing way possible.

DC just needs to reset their universe, and not give two ****s about what happened in the past.

Anyways, graphic novels and comics I really enjoyed:

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Killing Joke, The Long Halloween, and A Dark Victory.

I've enjoyed what trades I've read of Ultimate Spider-Man.

                      Bone by Jeff Smith (excellent!)
                      That's all I've really read.

PLANETES. The character development was fantastic. By the end of the run, I had bonded with each and every character in the series and wished that it hadn't just stopped abruptly. Ah, well. Too bad the anime has none of the charm.

Battle Royale. better than the movie (like that's hard) and even better than the novel it's based on. the characters are just so much more likable in this version, which forces you to bond with them in a deeper level than the other two ways this story is available. I cried several times in the manga, even after I had read the novel and watched the movie. I saw everything coming, but it hit so much harder. I still re-read the entire series almost once a month.
