That's a crazy coincedence. I saw The Spirits Within soundtrack today in a Disc-O-Rama for $9. If it was cheaper I might've gotten it too.

The last track (I believe it's the last track) is "Spirit Dreams Inside" by a Japanese rock band called L'arc~en~ciel. They're my favourite band of all time, and I looooove that song.

So if you don't quite understand the English in that track, you know it's because the singer, Hyde, has it as a second language.

Still, it rules.

japanese people singing english is always funny. Syotaro (sp?) Morikubo, lead singer of the band Mosquito Milk, and the voice of X in the Rockman X games has an odd habit of adapting a slurred southern accent when he sings in english.

and then there's the guy in some J-rock band that just starts yodeling in the middle of a really, really heavy metal song.

The Lara Fabian song is outstanding (The Dream Within). Overall, the music and movie was good.

I never heard Japanese try to sing in English. I must hear such.
