    Locked Doors - OTHER dungeon

    Can you lock the jail cells in the "dungeons" created in the towns? For some reason I have not been able to figure this out, but I want my players to break out a felon from jail to get info from him. Please tell me this is in some way possible...

    You could use an invisible event (set to touch?) that gives a message in mode one and only changes to mode 2 under the right conditions (example : player has explosives to blow the door). In mode two use "display off" or "end event" or even black out the screen, play a sound.to mock an explosion, fade in and go to a new mode (mode 3) which would have the "off / end" commands above.

      If I do that, wouldn't the player still be able to open the door after the message is displayed? Maybe I'm wrong...lemme try it out tonight.

        If that happens, warp them back one step after the message.

        Then they won't have the chance to try the door without the item.

        That should cover all possibilities.

          Yah, that is the only way I can think of to do it. I have the same situation in my game.
