    Lifespans

    Lifespans

I believe each birth year produces people with their own unique perspective in time. Saying that, I thought it would be interesting to compare our own spans through time. Ages and years are split because I was born in August.

My mind has pretty much been on video games my whole life, from '83 on. Helps that my grandpa had that old Atari 2600. Which is now mine, with maybe half the games and controllers working.

I've had a serious (as in, not very good) interest in cartoons since maybe the 2nd or 3rd grade (when I caught the first episode of Rescue Rangers), up until somewhere between 7th and 9th grade, when I was too embarrassed to be as interested.

Shapeshifting, though it will probably never happen in this lifetime, since '02. Or at least that's when it became a strong interest.

So, I'm not normal. Never have had much interest in the stuff going on in the outside world. Though mostly I just want to ignore it, since it's mostly bad news anyway.

Haha! No, what I was showing were THE Tv shows of the period. However later I did think he was cool when I was watching the reruns. Also I misprinted when we first got cable which was sometime in the late 70's. It was 88 when I got my NES for Christmas. It took me 3 years to convince my parents that the Atari 2600 was NOT the end all in video gaming experience.

              -----------------------------------

Well there is quite a debate if "middleagedom" starts at 35 or has pushed back to 40 - (40 is the new 30).
Here are some of my explainations

              (In theory)

              Infancy 0-5:
              Preschool development

              Childhood 5-12:
              Basically your elementary school experience

              Adolesence 13-18:
That awkward period in Jr.Sr. High

              Rising Adulthood 18-24
The foundation of one's life. Basically the college age

              Prime or Young adulthood 25-35\39
The building of one's life. Still interested in pop culture

              Middle Adulthood 36\40- 60?
The established period in one's life. Main interest is family

              Senior Adulthood 60?-80?
The rewarding part of your life when you're at the top of your career and am able to enjoy retirement. Also a period of community activity.

              Elder Adulthood 80? +
The more traditional period of old age and dependance.
