I just got AC! I messed around for a few minutes but I don't know what I'm doing yet. My name's PandaMoe and I live in Sunydale. I wish the names could be a little longer. But other than that it's fun so far.
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

I'm pretty angry over some of the things they took out but it's a satisfying game and drawing rude constellations is fun. I hate the censor... not because it blocks my rude words but because it's so stupid. Simple mispellings trick it easily and it's almost 100% worthless because it only censors all of 3 words.

What else did they take out besides the NES games?

              Yar, me too.

No DS until Christmas, and then I shall possess ACWW and a USB dongle. I expect the people that have the game to post of their adventures here like when the GC one came out.

                Well...

-You can't get a friend code until you complete Tom Nook's oddjobs
-You can no longer ask for jobs from animals; they have to assign them to you
-There are no more real holidays
-The post office is gone and has been replaced by town hall
-There's no more police station; lost and found is basically "do you want all of these crap items YES NO?"
-Tag mode is pretty much POINTLESS (basically, you send a message in a bottle and wait in tag mode until you bump into someone else who's in tag mode... outside of McGreasepits, the chances of this happening with a random stranger are 1 in a 1,000,000,000 and it's useless doing it with your friends)

Regardless, the game world is more steamlined (no more stupid acre system) and the way it scrolls makes it look like you're walking on a miniature globe. The good outweighs the bad but it feels like Nintendo could have at least ADDED something except online play and the ability to draw your own flag and constellation. It's essentially animal crossing and about 90% of it... but in your pocket with nothing changed or fixed.

I'm kinda glad I never played the GC AC so I have nothing to be disappointed about. It's all brand new to me.

Yeah, so they took out the NES games and have made up holidays now. Everything else Marcus listed is an improvement or somethin new. The way you get errands now works better 'cause it's just like something they mention or hint at not something they really ask you for. It's a little more realistic and it's not like you have to get it done or drop it like before.

I am not sure why not having holidays would be so bad. You can just invite your friends and celebrate in your own way.

I think having holydays just slows down the localizations too much.

Darn it, I'm interested in this now. But again, I could never get it, as it'd take up way too much of my time.

Besides, the loss of NES games is a major blow to me. The NES games were probably the coolest things you could find in the GameCube game.
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Is it paradoxical for someone to play a game just to play a game within a game if the game is about life?

That sounds awkward now that I think about it. I love it.

Love it. Embrace it. Hug it.

On another topic, so there ARE made up Holidays? Because if anyone remembers, the holidays in the GC version were made up too. Toy Day, the summer exercise thing, etc, etc.

I'll miss the post office, but I still hope Nintendo does their item giveaways somehow like they used to give out NES item codes.

I'm playing most definately no matter what, since I can actually see other's towns on this one, and the stylus seems perfect for AC's tasks.
