The wind in Colorado is absolutely insane right now. Anyone else who lives in Colorado in the Denver area knows what I'm talking about probably.
(Denver weather alert)
Denver is lucky. I'm at the foothills right off the mountains, so where I am is one of the worst spots right now.
Street lights have been toppling in the middle of intersections, most of the cars in the student parking lot around the northwest end have blown in windows.
Basically, what I alone have encountered is being clocked in the face with a text book, which sucks because my glasses cracked. The best story I've heard so far is about some people going "tarping" and getting thrown in to a fence at about 20mph. Awesome. Owned.
WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS AT SUSTAINED SPEEDS OF 55 TO 65 MPH WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 105 MPH WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE REST OF THE DAY. THE HIGH WINDS WILL PRODUCE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND RAPIDLY CHANGING VISIBILITIES.
