Alright, this is the basic plot, tell me what you think.
The game starts by telling the story of Grenadia and The Warlord, a man who ravaged the land, trying to make the world his. The people couldn't find a way out, so they prayed to their God, Ouroboros. The people slowly began to give up hope, but before long, a woman named Arduinna came, offering help. Using the power of a stone called The Lotus Emerald, she was able to wield magic. The magic that she was able to wield was equal to that of Ouroboros. She taught the people how to use magic and then the final stage was set.
The two forces met in the Great Desert, and the battle began. It raged on for days, each side not stopping. The magic of Arduinna and the Undead forces of the Warlords clashing for days. As a last ditch effort, Arduinna called to Ouroboros and he came from the sky, destroying the Warlords forces and locking the Warlord away in a tower in the Sects of Peniara.
The war was over, but the people continued to feud. Was it Ouroboros that saved the people, or Arduinna? As time passed, the two groups split into two different churches. The Church of the Serpent and The Church of the Empress. Thousands of years have passed since then and the people have lived peaceful lives. However, in the east, from the Sects of Peniara, a third church rises, rallying forces to its side.
Okay, so thats the story. The game actually begins with the main character in a small town, all he wants is a little adventure. He is recruited by The Church of the Serpent to go investigate a cave with a knight of The Church. When they reach the bottom of the cave, they find a helmet and a woman who talks about reviving something. After a little talk, she unleashes a monster on them, and the knight dies.
He returns to his town and reports to the local church. The Priest there tells him that he cannot stay in the town because the woman is likely to come after him. The priest says he will take the MC to the capitol of their continent, but that he has to get to the Serpent Church and report to their leader, Leorna Lotus. And so the story begins. . .
