I was considering getting one of these to share games online and such, but, I was reaidng up on it and a ton of people were upset because it corrupted their memory cards and/or lost all their data. What are your experiences? (or am I looking at the wrong thing?)

Re: MaxDrive
the max drive can indeed corrupt your memory card, as it did mine (check the article section here). Be warned though that every single file transfer device can do this, so there's no way around it if you want to share your games. best advice is to back-up your data on a second memory card, and to remember to never use the "move" command, or select more than one file at a time. as long as you do that, your memory card and saves should be just fine.

Re: MaxDrive
Yes, the MaxDrive is mostly safe as long as you don't take full advantage of the MaxDrive's options. How's that for quality, huh?
Which reminds me, Valk, you said before that article that you sent an e-mail to Datel about how you were going to tell everyone here to avoid it or something along those lines. Did they ever reply?"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
