    Anyone know anything about monitors?

    I want a 17" flat panel monitor.


    I want to spend around $200.


    Anyone have any suggestions?

    All I know about monitors is mine happens to be pure evil, along with the rest of my damned computer. I hope you find a decent one, unlike me.

            Thin Film Transistor monitors, aka "Active Matrix". They're much clearer and higher quality than traditional fatter models. LCD is clearer still, but more expensive.

            TFT is the prefered monitor for computers today. 15"-17" ones are dropping in price lately.

                The only thing I know about monitors is that an ant lives in mine.
