Today is David Silviera's last day at agetec. he's going off to resume independant design and graphics work, and I wish him all the best.

He's been absolutely invaluable to the RPG Maker community, always eager to help us in any way he could despite his heavy work load and busy schedule. he went above and beyond what anyone else has when it comes to keeping the fans informed.

So I figured I'd let you all know about him leaving, so that if you have anything you would like to say to him, you can go ahead and do it right here.

Good luck Dave, we'll miss you!

Big time.

Dude, this kinda sucks. Aside from Valk and Ixzion, Dave was the only person we knew from "the inside", and he was the furthest inside even. As in, actually in "the inside" and not just getting information from it.

Bye Dave, I didn't know you but I respect and am thankful for all the people
who have worked on this site.

to clear things up, dave hasnt posted on the pavilion once since we moved to Vbulletin, but he is the guy that kept us informed with RPGM2 and 3, sent the staff the early copies of the games, sent me the RPGM3 press kit in advance, linked us from rpgmaker.agetec.com, and almost single-handedly translated RPGM2's help files and such. Basically, without him, there'd be no telling what shape the RPG Maker series and community would be like right now.

Dave, I wish I knew you. Thank you for all the hard work you have done. I should have joined the pavilion earlier, so I might have had a word with you. Good luck with life and all. :thumbs

... will the pavilion be reduced back to the dark ages and forced to scavange for information in the same way all the other savages do or is there still enough of a link to be showered in information, like the glory days?

Mark Johnson should still be a useful contact as he always has been, its just that he covers so many different jobs at agetec that he can be a pain to get ahold of at times. There shouldnt be any changes as far as the pavilion is concerned. This is important for other reasons. Dave is someone I honestly consider my friend (just like Mark), and I'm sad to see him leave the company.

of course, he returned once, he could return again.

Whatever he gets involved in he'll do great. With his dedication to both the work and the fans whoever he works with will love him.

I sincerely thank everyone for the kind words.

I won't be a stranger. It may be a little bit before you see me poke my head around again, but I'll still do my best to keep in touch.

As far as getting the scoop on RPG Maker happenings, I'm sure I'll still be finding out info I can share.

At least now maybe I can make the RPG Maker game I've always wanted to. But I'm not going to hold my breath on that one as I still have a lot to do.

Farewell and good luck.

Dave

I would also like to wish you the best of luck!
Rpg Maker coming to the states (almost 6 years ago), was literally a godsend for future designers that had no way of making their dreams a reality. The hard work you put into localizing this franchise is greatly appreciated and forever will be! Giving people a new medium for artistic expression is a wonderful thing. It's truly the gift that keeps on giving!

OMG where have you been?! What's going on with Sprite Chaser and all those others that you showed off way back when?

Whoops, off-topic I guess. So um, what exactly do you plan on doing, AD? "Independant design and graphics work" doesn't sound specific enough to me.

I missed this topic.

Daves a cool dude, helped me out on the old Agetec forums like 4, maybe 5 years ago? Sad to see him go!

Keep in touch Dave, dont be a stranger.

I wish you the best of luck in all you do, and Merry Christmas!

No... i'm not crying... It's sweat... Is it hot in here!?

Bye Dave! See ya soon! ^^;
