Yeah, just recently one morning -- a day after I played a few straight hours of Need for Speed: Underground 2 -- I caught myself trying to get an "Avoided Accident" bonus by cutting really close to cars on the highway.
I guess that could've been dangerous.
I'll sometimes do that after playing GTA. I feel the urge to just ditch my car and grab another one to avoid traffic. But I don't go that far.

I had a dream where there was nothing but a screen in my mind, and I was playing a damn good game of tetris on it.
I'm more likely to dream about a game than to have it affect me in the real world.
Although since you mentioned the GTA thing... everytime I see one of those little scooters going down the street, I think about jump-kicking the rider off, saying "I NEED THIS," and then hauling ass for a block before crashing it into several other cars or a building. :lol

I get GTA urges all the time, and I don't even play it anymore.
I live most of my life as though I have a Vagrant Story Risk meter. If I "chain" a lot of good occurences together - jokes, grades, conversations - I try to keep going with it until the chain ends. But if it does, then I have to wait a long time for my Risk to go down and I can do anything good again.
That could just be paranoia, but it's helped me out sometimes.

That is awesome.
If the hallway outside my dorm is empty I'll often pretend to have John Woo dual wielding gun fights. With Wolverine claws.

When I was little, I always used to pretend I was in Castlevania whenever I was in a stairwell.
Recently, durring my hardcore FFXI months, whenever I said something that I wasn't sure other people could hear, I thought "Oops, should've used /shout."

Yeah, I had a Katamari problem too. Especially when I walked by objects significantly smaller than me.
When I play Tony Hawk I see grindable lines on everything with a lip.

'What percent of my bladder is full?' :lol When I was little, I would pretend to have a racoon tail and be able to fly around. Hey, get your own childhood!
I sometimes have the same after-effect with games. Usually after playing a game for a few hours or so and going to bed right after, I can't get images of playing the game out of my head for a little bit. And I've had those same driving deals before. Outside of gaming, if I spend a good amount of time reading online comics (usually when I find a new one and go through its archive to catch up to the here and now), I start thinking in punchlines for a while.

Jesus christ,
these people are extreme.
Once after playing Earthbound I ran around town beating up dogs, snakes, crows and gang members with a baseball bat.

While I was into FFXI, one time I was riding in the car and watching the scenery go by as my Mom was driving us home. I saw a pedestrian and I thought "I wonder who that is..." and then mentally attempted to target that person - then I realized I wasn't playing FFXI and this was real life. It was really creepy.
When I first started World of Warcraft, I'd dream about playing it every night. Thankfully, that stopped.

That's funny. I still have the urge to /slap people from time to time. :D When I see little kids walking around I sometimes think of them as tarutaru and wish they would dance around for my amusement.

That's awesome, Nix. :D
You just reminded me - I was hanging out with Rogen about a week ago and we had a discussion similar to this:
Me: "Too bad I can't just go slash slap (/slap) at people."
Rog: "There is no command bar in real life."
Me: "Right... that sucks."

My friend has been playing way too much GTA recently. The other day, he just randomly went over a curb and through some grass to get to a parking lot, and afterwards he was just like "Oh ****! I didn't mean to do that! I need to stop playing GTA..." :lol

I never had any of those problems with games, but sometimes I will space out and detach myself from reality without knowing it, not necessarily trying to emulate a videogame, but I might be barreling down the highway going 110+ and not even noticing it, or I'll stick my hand on a hot stove burner and not feel a thing, or be trying to pick fights with someone, and I won't even notice it at the time...
I don't ever notice I did these things until I snap out of it, minutes or hours after it occurs. It's very weird after I'm able to think of what the hell I was doing.
