There is this movie from my childhood, but I can't remember most of the plot or what its called. Help me out, why don'tcha?
The movie is from the eighties. It's about these kids. I think they go to their grandpartents. Anyway. They go to this place in the woods. Then they find a leprecon, but only they can see it. Eventualy the leprecon takes them to the fairy world, and all is aces until the other fairies want to make the kids into fairies. Thing is to become a fairy you have to undergo this crazy metamorphosis where you silde down into a big gooy pud of mud where a monster eats you and poops out a fairy. It was a head trip to be sure. Also there was this monster thing that ate fireflies but in the real world he mistaked fireflies for car headlights (an understandable mistake) and wacky highjinks insued. That's about all I remember.
