Ps2 Router Options

Im finally getting the nerve to hook up my PS2's modem to start playing online. However, my cable modem is downstairs, as far from my Ps2 as I can imagine.

So, instead of lugging my TV and Ps2 downstairs and using the computer's ethernet line, or just buying 200 feet of ethernet cable to run upstairs, I've decided on purchasing a router.

I have no idea on which to use, outside of a wireless one. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any prices?

I recommend getting a wireless Belkin. Belkin routers are great.

Don't get a linksys, mine has caused me nothing but trouble.

I'm using wireless Belkin. Can't say how well the wireless part works, but the rest works good.

Do they come with everything I need?

Im assuming that you run an ethernet cable from the cable modem to the router, up to the PC, and have a receiver for the other wireless end (on the PS2), right?

Yeah, they pretty much come with everything you need.

Furthermore, you can use both the wired and wireless at the same time. Your setup proposal is on the level.

I haven't used that cheaper model, though. But it shouldn't be any different.
