    I programmed a game!

For those who remember the travesty that was Extreme Trash Collector...forget it. That was just me messing around with graphics. I made a text based battle engine that I am very proud of. Anyway, get 25 wins and your character will be featured in the next edition of the game! (Which is going very well, I might add.)
    The game is Lancer.
    Heres the link

You're one fan out of...one. Anywho, I can give you Qbasic and file if it would work.
EDIT: Also, I can include you in the game anyway if it doesn't work. People aren't exactly jumping at the chance to be included.

Well, production is going well, but I need more characters for story mode. You don't have to get 25 wins to be in the game. Please, just get 5 and get the code and I'll make you a character. Just want to make sure you know how the stats system works before you make a character
[EDIT]...okay, fine. Absolutly ANYONE who wants a character can have one. Just post and let me know.

              Re: I programmed a game!

Yay! So, just post this stuff:
              Character Name:
              Finisher:
              Techinique:
              Ultimate:
(just make up three attacks...finisher is weakest, ultimate is strongest)
then, tell me what sort of stats you want to have out of:
              Stamina:
              Power:
              Mana:
              Technique/Finsiher power:
              Ultimate power:

If you want to go and actually pick your stats, let me know. Also, anyone is free to just post whatever. A few more characters and Lancer Ex V. 1.2 will be complete

                Re: I programmed a game!

                Character Name: Jamos
                Finisher: Malice Cannon
                Techinique: Lightning Sword Flash
                Ultimate: End of Days

I'm not exactly sure which is considered weak or strong stats in your game.
So just pick what these would be:

                Stamina: A little above average
                Power: Very strong
                Mana: A little below average
                Technique/Finisher power: Above average
Ultimate power: with a name like that, use your imagination.

The best of luck to you.

                    Re: I programmed a game!

Programming as we speak. Although we are not speaking. I am still programming.
By the way, I'm portraying Jamos as a somewhat wise, in control fighter who has absolute trust in his abbilties (which is true now, but haunts him later when he challanges Kenji, who is set as a master swordsman throughout the game.) Are you okay with that? And just for clarifcation, Jamos will NOT fight Kenji in this version, so he'll be undefeated for a while.
Edit: Libra, You can be in the game. and for those who can't get the game:
                    http://www.digitalswordsmen.com/Digi...ome_brewed.cfm
if that doesn't work, go to digitalswordsmen.com, wait for the linkbar to load (site being renovated) then Media/all downloads/home brewed programs/lancer.

                      Re: I programmed a game!

(sorry for the double post. First ones hard enough to read as it is.)
Well, I made Jamos. And it took me 4 tries to beat him. Have to save all my SP to heal after he uses End of Days.
After seeing Jamo's power, I think I'm going to end the Lancer saga soon, because he can't handle much tougher enemies. Meaning I will be releaseing the new edition soon.

Sounds cool so far. I like your idea for my character. Just wanting to know if he is good or bad, I'm kind of hoping for bad. Other than that, I can't wait!

You can download it there. Jamos is the final fight, and I must warn you, he's a tough one. Watch out for the End of Days!
Also, in honor of the Pav, typing in the name of a certain sandwich loving admin gets you an extra stat point!

Well, Lancer EX has it's own forum now!
                            http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/...splay.php?f=72
Oddly enough, the forum number is "72" which is my favorite number.
The character creation thread is up.
