Not at all. It's sidescrolling comparable to the old Genesis Sonic games, without the worry of getting hit by offscreen enemies (thanks to a new special feature) and stuff I don't wanna spoil. Except for the fact that it's frantic and fun.
I strongly recommend those whom lost their faith in Yuji Naka and Sonic Team due to all console Sonic games after Sonic Adventure to give this DS game a go. It's the best in years.Last edited by RPGD; 11-24-2005, 06:43 PM.

Nope, it's entirely 2D, with some cool cut-ins to 3D graphics for boss battles (controls still 2D).

I heard about that. I wonder why the whole game isn't in 3D. Or at least I did, but I just realized it's because both screens can't display 3D at the same time. bottom screen can't process 3D graphics as well as the top screen.
