Questions for a forum impaired forum junkie <-redundant

    So I'm curious...

1: I'm worried about ****ing people off for posting in old threads. What's oldest a thread can be before the ****ing-Off-of-People will happen?

2: If it's a topic that I really want to comment on but it has already been posted, but that thread is really old, can I post the topic again?

An example. I have an opinion about a certain, recent RPG Maker game
*cough* rpgmaker3*cough* that I REAAALLY want to share with you guys, but there's already a thread that kinda does that and the last time it was posted on was about a month ago...

So what the hell should I do?
Post in old thread? Create new thread?
Oh, dear god, my head's starting to explode...

I wouldnt make a big deal out of such a trivial thing.

The worst that can happen is your post will get deleted or people will mention how you brought up something old.

Besides that, theres no real limit I can think of, unless it gets so old its no longer archieved on the back pages. But if it is a few pages back and a month or so old (as you say) you could either reply in it and bump it back up or just post a new topic (it's old, so it wouldnt seem that repetitive).

    Just go with the flow.

No one is going to be upset. if we didnt want anyone posting in old topics, we wouldnt keep every single topic ever created on the forum open.

if it's not on the first two pages, don't worry about it. go ahead and make a new topic, or reply to the old one if you want

again, if it's not on the first two pages, don't worry about it.

If anyone complains about you either starting a new thread for an old topic or bumping up and old thread it's probably just one of our resident b****ers. Don't worry it's their job to get po'ed about little things, they have a quota to me so don't take it personally.

Thanks guys! I feel a lot better about things now. I'll even try going for a record of 1,000 posts in a day. ... oh, alright, maybe not.

Let this post fester for a couple weeks then bump it.
                It'll be ironic.

To do that, you'd have to spam, and spamming is against the rules. But I'm sure you knew that already.

It's not the number of posts it's the quality. I was on the old forums for years and only had 2,000 posts.

My point is that spam doesn't have one.
