Glasses aren't that bad. I dreaded getting them, too, but when I put them on it was like, "People can actually see this well?!"
Remember: Even when they don't seem dirty, clean them every once and a while. You'd be amazed how well you can see after a seemingly unessacary cleaning.

Consider yourself lucky. I just found out I have a degenerative eye disease w/ a lot of C's. Luckily, it isn't serious because if it was I would've known like 8-10 years ago.

I had them when I was a kid and then moved to contacts. I just finally broke down and bought me a spare pair of glasses for at night and days after long nights.

I love glasses. Though, I tend not to bother cleaning mine sometimes. Bad habit.

Glasses are sexy. I can see without glasses, but I am near-sighted in one eye and far-sighted in the other. I have to switch between my eyes to see up close and far away, and this really strains my eyes. If I don't wear glasses I get headaches. I recently went about seven years without glasses but ended up buying another pair because I would get a migrane nearly every week. I haven't regretted it one bit.

Also, girls in glasses turn me on something fierce. It's so bad that I can't watch that part in Dogma where Selma Hayek is in specs without poking a hole in my pants.

P.S.: I second that IRC post his four-eyes mug.

I wear contacts as often as I can because my glasses pinch my head. Seriously, they're crab claws. And I can't loosen them anymore otherwise they'd slip off. I can't find that perfect balance between HEAD DEATH and NOSE SLIPPAGE.

I have glasses that have good grips on the side so they don't hurt my nose. They cost nearly $400, though.

That's where the problem is. I get dull aches behind my ears and I need a pill or else the doctors' heads will explode and my toy bear will ooze milk.

I have to wear corrective lenses due to near sightedness and nystagimus. I normaly wear contacts cause the help more with the nystagimus but taking breaks with glasses are nice.

I have had glasses since I was six, I have bad habits like RPGDesigner where I forget to clean them often, I also forget to take off my glasses when I go to sleep the majority of the time.
