    House M.D.

Why is this show popular? Every episode is exaclty the same. Patient comes in with unknown illness. Doctors make a diagnosis and treat it. The patient gets better for a minute then GASP! gets much worse. The diagnosis was wrong. Repeat for three acts. Then end with the patient finally being saved or dying, whichever is more emotionally engaging.

Because Hugh Laurie is a cynical, crippled stud.

Because the characters are likable and there isn't much else to watch at the same time.

If you want to watch a real medical show, check your local listings to see if any of the channels you have show Doogie Howser, MD.

Who's now the voice of Daxter! SCORE! I wonder what Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie) is up to now. I remember he had that sitcom a couple years ago but that lasted like a quarter season. And he did the voice of Spidey in that MTV Spider-Man cartoon but that didn't last either.

                  I like House.

Those blue eyes of his are damned hypnotizing in some episodes. Plus I like a lot of his lines. He just delivers them so danged well.

Also I think it's one of the only good shows left on TV, since FOX decided Arrested Development wasn't worth showing on Mondays in favor of 2 HOURS OF PRISON BREAK.

(Not to offend those who like Prison Break; I just don't feel like it's a very good show.)

                  So, uh, yeah.

Neil Patrick Harris also appeared in Harold & Kumar go to White Castle as himself.

The main thing I remember of NPH was that movie with Whoopi Goldberg called Clara's Heart.

I love House, I watch it everyday Tuesday. And probably why its the same type of episode everytime is well...hes a diagnostic medicine doctor. Its not like one night hes a doctor then the next night hes a boxer or something. This aint Quantum Leap. Its the same thing with ER, which is another great show.

Its not the content of the episode that makes people watch, its the character developement.

I want House and his female protege to get it on

The show I can't understand the popularity of is Nip/Tuck. I saw a couple episodes of it, and it was so damned boring.

I mean I don't expect it to be a whole different show every time. It just seems to me that at some point they'd realized "Hey, let's not even try the first two things we come up with cause if you haven't noticed we're always wrong and we usually almost kill the patient with them." If this was real life that team be sued for malpractice so much they wouldn't even be allowed to step foot in a hospital.

And I want the uppity negro and the Aussie to get it on.

Fixed again! Now geographically and politically correct.
