I'm not sure. The rumor mills say that it's either a reprint or and "oh my, a giant box of these was just discovered" I've heard stories that some stores recieved up to 15 copies, but that sounds like an exageration.

This whole Gitaroo Man hype and shortage is weird, because I picked it up as an afterthought while browsing video games. It was 25 dollars and looked neat.

I haven't played Guitar Hero yet but all it needs is a single analog stick (or something like an analog stick) and the four "shape" buttons to be compatible.

And if it is I'm buying Guitar Heroes immediately.

I've been searching for it for a while. They only made a few thousand and it was a Japanese launch only so even ebay is slim pickings.

I wonder if I can fill in a request to station at Japan...
