    Crash

I think it's probably one of the best anti-racism movies, ever.

    So, yeah, who's seen it?

    I prefer pro-racism movies.

My best friend hates that movie with a passion so I've yet to see it.

Plus, the concept: racism. It's bad. Yeah. We know. Just like war is. Now, shut up.

I don't know if it's just racism is bad. I think it's more of a look at different people and culturs and races and **** and then they're lives crash together and the racial barriers we put up come down.

I saw that movie. It was amazing. It was pretty awesome how all of the stories were kind of linked, and it showed that even that cop at the end that was always trying to be unpredjudiced turned out to be at the end anyhow. So far I seem to be agreeing with Pandemonium a lot.

I namely enjoyed it, because it wasn't just directed at whites, but everyone as a whole.

The only truley non-racist character, was the mexican.

              CRAZY.

I wrote a paper on the movie for a class this semister. I'll post it here when I get off of class.

It pretty much voices my opinion of the movie.

                      Re: Crash

I have a very objective view of racism because I'm not one of those people who pretends that it isn't a part of every single human being's mindset in one way or another. For a while I decided to be a black white supremacist just to see how people would react. And this was years before Chappelle's Show, lol. I think the Klan would've made me a grand dragon or whatever they call it, you'd be surprised how many people I was able to influence.

When I was in elementary school I had to start seeing the guidance counselor on a regular basis for writing a "My Hero" essay about Hitler. (I started to elaborate on why I did that but decided to delete it since it might offend some people. It was because of his huge influence on history but to speak in any way positively about someone who did so much evil can incense people.) Suffice to say, I fixed the problem by writing one about Jesus instead.

Yeah I'm an odd duck, I know. I think my mind was largely shaped by an early love of Shakespeare. "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." "There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamed of in your philosophy."

Does that make it a bad movie? The biopic has shown to be almost a slamdunk for an Oscar. Does that make Ray a bad movie? Are you planning to not see Walk the Line? What about to a degree Jarhead?

Fwah I say. The only Oscar bait I plan to avoid is anything with Nicole Kidman. :shudder

It was a good movie, but a little heavy handed.
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

I'll see it but yeah, it's got "heavy-handed" all over it.

I didn't care to see Ray. The trailer was enough for me. I'll see it eventually I'm sure.

I might see Walk the Line, I'm in no rush. I like Joaquin Phoenix, so...

Jarhead was all right. The performances were good and the direction was nice but I don't think it deserves any outstanding accolades. It's an overlong war-comedy movie about... well, nothing. The script left a lot to be desired.

BUT SURE I'LL HAVE MY HEART STRINGS PULLED EVENTUALLY BY A MOVING MORAL TALE OF LOVE AND HUMANITY
