i need gun backgrounds

names of modernish weaponry like guns, bazookas, missle launchers, and the like. i need both past weapons (like revolver, pistol, musket) and newer ones (like magnum eagle). i would like a small weapon discription, its name, and anything else of interest (i will look up the names and gather all the info i need). i need this for my game which will feature a large part of it in a modern and futuristic setting (if i ever finish it).

any help is apeicated, medival weapons and such are my specialty, modern warfare mostly escapes me.

I just now saw this topic, but the link posted mentions quite a bit more guns than I'd have threw out at you. I'd also like to add some ones you might be interested in researching not on that list:

USAS-12 (A full-auto shotgun from Korea. FUN! 5 rounds per second rate of fire, 20 rounds capacity.)
Alliant Tech Systems OICW (Hehehe... I get a ***** after hearing its name)
.50 BMG (Powerful ass sniper rifle)
Ruger Bearcat (GREAT gun to start with if you want to take up shooting as a hobby)
