LUFIA AND THE FORTRESS OF DOOM

I bought this for 15 bucks cuz I heard it was good.

    So far it isn't.

Is there any redeeming value in this game?

I liked it, but the prequel, Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals, is by far one of the best RPGs I've played. Especially for SNES- right up there with the FFs.

Although Fortress of Doom begins with L2's end, Lufia 2 adds so much to it. Plus it looks a LOT better, it is more polished and all that.

I can't remember everything about this one, but you can always think of it this way- you get the other half of the story that L2 leads into. That is the main motivation that drove me to play and beat it.

Lufia has aged horribly but it's as old school as you can get without going 8-bit. I enjoy it, but if you're not feeling it now you're not likely to. Go with Lufia 2.

The only thing good that came out of Lufia 1 was Lufia 2.

Unfortunately, simply playing Lufia 1 pretty much spoils Lufia 2.

Lufia 2 is good for the puzzletastic dungons. And there's a lot of them.

I never played past the intro of Lufia 1. So I don't know if it's a puzzle fest like 2. I've got a feeling it's not, though.

            I loved the capsule monsters.

              again that is Lufia II.

Lufia doesn't have very many puzzles.

Well, damn. Whatever; I might like it a bit as I go on. I just felt I needed it in my SNES collection...
