    Is this possible?

I would like to have the capability to play a storyteller without an event triggering it...for example, the party is walking to the next town, dungeon, etc. and they stop for a moment to talk about something. This seems like a more natural way to develop some character details, such as backstory, etc., so they do not end up feeling like cliched cardboard cutouts. Is it possible to do this? Maybe by time of day, and then you can turn the event off so it doesn't play again the next night, noon, or whatever. Thanks.

Seems to me you should make a small area that the party is forced to walk through, place the storyteller event there to happen when the area is walked into, and then have it turn off afterwards.

But then, I have no idea how RPG Maker 3 works, since I don't own it.

Pretty much you have to do what Big Rick Cook said.

Events are the only way I have found to start a storyteller. If I could find my RPG Maker 3 disk then I could mess with it and find it out. But it seems to have dissapeared.

Isuppose you could have invisible settings that raise varible numbers every time you hit one, and at a number the storyteller would trigger. Then a few more hits, and another one would go, but it's hit and miss, unless your creative enough...
