I need your guys' help

I'm righting a story involving a dangerous computer program. What I need your help with is an answer, pretty much.
A group of terrorists is after this computer. The president of the US (fictional future president) happens to be the terrorist leader. The terrorists are fooling the good guys into actually thinking they are really threatening a true and honest president for the computer.
The good guys also don't know the terrorist leader is the president. They will lure the good guys into a trap.

Answer me this......... is this to cliche?

While this might be along the lines of some other ideas we have seen, don't let that stop you, it's really a good one to use, plenty of interesting twists could be involved, good for a player in-depth experience.

Sounds kinda like "Escape from New York".

But if you build up enough tension and have a few twists along the way, I think you will have a good story.
