    56!? 56!?!?!? Now that's all I can think about!!!

I have a paper to write for my Buisness of Film and Video class that is about a TV show or movie, what worked and what didn't, and why was is sucessful or not.

Of course I'm writting about Futurama.

What I need from you guys is statements I can quote about wheather or not you watched the show when it aired on Fox, and why. Also, do you still watch it now on Adult Swim and how often?

    Thanks for your help.

I never watched it on FOX, but I watch it religiously on Adult Swim now. I think I was too young to appreciate it when it originally aired, or just never gave it a fair chance (when compared to my love of the Simpsons at the time).

I watched it when it aired on Cartoon Network.

I must say that I really enjoyed the series, but I only watch it sparatically, due to the Daily Show being on at the same time.

Hey, what kind of party is this? There's no booze and only one hooker.

I watched/taped every episode shown on FOX. I caught them when they first aired because I had a feeling that the show would be something special. I'd read some interviews with Matt Groening about the project and he seemed really jazzed about it. After the giant robo-Nixon episode, I was a fan for life.

I don't have any seasons on DVD, but I plan on getting them soon or perhaps asking for them as a Christmas present, since I'm poor right now. I don't watch them on cartoon network.

I watched the episodes on Fox and I still catch it whenever it's on Adult Swim. Kef and I have the first two seasons on DVD but we'll have it all eventually.

The show seemed limitless and was definitey cut down way prematurely, like so many other sci-fi shows. I notice new things, subtleties and jokes each time. My friends and I all appreciate it and it consistently comes up in our "bash Family Guy" topics. I make sure to backhand whoever has anything negative to say about it.

These balls are making me testy!

I was too young to really appreciate Futurama during it's original run on FOX.

Later, however, with Adult Swim I began to watch it religously. I don't own any of the DVDs, being the poor schmuck I am, but I'd probably rate it as the best animated sit-com to date.

I loved Futurama. I watched it on Fox the whole time it ran and during that brief resurgance they had. Watched it on Adult Swim back when I had cable (which was a few years ago). Hadn't even occurred to me to watch the DVDs. It was a great show for the same reasons Simpsons is, it made fun of every aspect of itself. It had more depth than the Simpsons though, Simpsons is all character driven but Futurama was as much about the situations that came up as it was about the characters. And it had great songs: "Grunka Lunka dunkity dingredient. You shouldn't ask about the secret ingredient." "You'll suffer til the end of time. Enduring tortures (most of which rhyme). Trapped forever here in Robot Hell!"
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

I watched about 95% of the episodes on FOX when they first aired. I missed a couple of the later ones (Devil's Hands, Jurassic Bark, Mutant Leela's Teenage Hurdles, ect) and saw those on AS.

I always loved this show more than any other animated shows, but most of my family disagrees with me. My dad and brother both believe that Family Guy is better, but I can't see how. Family Guy episodes now bore me - they don't stand the test of time like Futurama does. I still find things I miss and the old jokes still crack me up. One day I'm going to have to defend my girlfriend by saying "she's full of meat!"

Also, mention that Jurassic Bark is the most emotional episode of any Western television show.
