And for those who aren't Magonians:
It was suggested at the Pavilion that I send my story to someone so they could evaluate it. Well, that was in referrance to Slayers' Reign, which unforunately is nowhere near finished being written down and/or typed up.
However, it has occurred to me today that the script for The RPG Maker is written down. The story isn't as big as Slayers' Reign's, as the game was originally intended to be a quickly-made RPG shortly before RPGM2's release (heh, a little late there). However, I had put some work in the story since its initial conception, to where it actually matters if the story is good or not. Therefor, I'd like some assistance.
Essentially, I want someone to look at my script, give some feedback on what's good and what probably needs changed, and possibly point out some good spots for subquest opportunities (I can't find any opportunities until 75% into the game). I only need one person to look at it, and it of course would have to be someone who knows how to tell a good story, preferrably someone who has already released a game with said good story. And of course, you'd have to be good at giving an evaluation. I'd doubt this thing deserves a "It's good, the end" type of evaluation. (Yet here's hoping it doesn't get a "This story sucks, get rid of it" type of evaluation.)
If you want to know what sort of story needs evaluation, the game will be typical fantasy setting, involving the cliche amnesiac mystery person and elemental crystals/beasts. It is not intended to be a comedy, and there is no love interest. In terms of length, the script takes me a half-hour to read.
The script at the moment is printed on paper, so I'll need to know if to send it as a Wordpad or Notepad document, or straight-out text in an e-mail (I doubt it's possible to PM a 7-page script, though correct me if I'm wrong.)
So, um, apply today!
EDIT: Oh yeah, if there are any questions, feel free to ask. I'll probably choose someone come this Saturday, assuming I get any good volunteer by then.
