Ryner, thanks.
I'm really angered about this whole situation. I tried to check that link in his sig yesterday, and it seemed broken- maybe to make sure no one found out. But then it was back up today.
So, yeah. He can go rave to his fat emo gal in cat ears.:D

Ryner has accomplished something great. the first-ever pavilion update about a non-staff member. (zombie boy doesnt count)
Who knew a facade of lack of compassion for others would yeild such impressive PI intuition? Kudos, I say.

By the way, this is a total 180 of what I'd expect from Cenobite. This holds true to my theory about myspace.:p

ryner is the one that exposed cenobite faking his death.WTF?! Okay, I thought I heard that Ceno was a good guy. Now it turns out he's another one of those tricksters that appear on these and the Mag's boards from time to time?I caught Ho-oh in pokemon gold.Lugia's cooler.

I'm an idiot.

ho-ho's are snack cakes, arent they? or is this a canada thing like smarties in the US are just flavored sugar things, and in canada they're like M&Ms?

Smarties is a real candy in Canada?! What a rip!

You aren't a loser until you play Yugioh.

I'm fairly certain Valk is also a big fan of Yugioh.
Big Rick Cook

Well, then, what does that tell us about him?
That he dosen't let elitist peer pressure keep him from enjoying things he likes?
Valkysas
11-04-2005, 12:03 PM
I have never been a big fan of yugioh. I played the card game, but I despise the anime and the games, because they have the anime characters in them. The manga is pretty stupid too. I gave the card game up 2 years ago.

Nothing wrong in liking Pokemon. I stopped at Gold/Silver though technically, since Fire Red and Leaf Green are pretty much red/blue hashes. The days of Pokemon Red playing on my big old gameboy, those were the days.
My little sister, wanting to buy the Sims Busting Out or whatever mediocre Sims game they're putting on consoles these days, took my pokemon games... and traded them in.-_-
My Red, Blue, Yellow, Card Game, and Silver.D;
I agree about Yu Gi Oh though. That just seemed to be leeching off of how big of a hit Pokemon was, plus using cards was a bit uber lame. At least in Pokemon they didn't throw cards at each other.:p

I loved the card game, I used to go to tournaments every Saturday :(
I'm still a certified WotC Pokemon TCG coach :(

I actually busted out the old Pokemon TCG game for Gameoy a few months ago for old times sake. It wasn't really that entertaining anymore, cause you just about always win, but it was fun for memory sake.

IMO, Pokemon stopped being good after it moved to the GBA. They took out some of the cool stuff that they had in GS (like, the usefulness of the clock). Pokemon Fire/Grass seemed not-as-good as the original Red/Blue.
I used to dabble in the TCG, but lost interest. It's a good game, I just don't like having to spend all that money on cards, and losing out on those rare promo cards. But I guess that would include all TCGs in general. I still have most of my old Pokemon cards, though. I think, maybe I have around 120 or so, one of which is my favorite Pokemon, Growlithe. I wouldn't mind getting back into it (though not so much that I'd start buying cards left and right), but I'd have nobody to play/trade with.
How could Fire Red and Leaf Green seem "not-as-good" as the originals? It was almost completely identical, save all the additions, including the Sevii Islands.
If two things are the same, how can one be inferior to the other? That dosen't make a lick of sense. A fairly flawed argument, that appears.
Furthermore, there were clocks in the game, however you didn't have one with you. There are very significant events that occur depending on the time of day and week, too.
Is it alright for a topic like this to skew into such a tangent?
Draygone

How could Fire Red and Leaf Green seem "not-as-good" as the originals?I dunno. Maybe it was just the lack of nostalgia.Furthermore, there were clocks in the game, however you didn't have one with you. There are very significant events that occur depending on the time of day and week, too. That's strange, I don't remember anything that happened at specific times, save for maybe the trees you planted. I would've at least expected the game to go from night to day like it did in GS.
If it's a matter of personal opinion, then I cannot possibly argue with that. It's common for a certain something to have a sort of "magic" something nearly identical to it may lack in the eyes of people.
Content-wise, though, it's impossible for FireRed and LeafGreen to be inferior. I'd also like to point out that it's even larger than R/S (Not Emerald) and can trade to Diamond and Pearl. I'd also like to note that RSE have the Safari Zone, which was absent from GSC.
By the time Emerald was released, RSE had everything that was in previous installments except for Pokeball-making (custom balls are readily available at stores instead) and the radio.
If you'd like, I can also mention a number of time-influenced events.

I am one of those teens that use to play pokemon but now think that it is stupid.
It got so boring after a while. I beat the game and decided to just spend the rest of my time if I ever play it at the casino.
I really don't mind as much the older pokemon but now those newer pokemon are just really annoying. Anything past Gold and Silver Version is retarded to me. All they do is make more so people will buy it. But they already have an earlier version. Why waste money to get pretty much the same thing with a few different twists and more pokemon. That is what I think of it.
By the way is it possible to get more than 1 master ball without using the clone trick? I think there is but I never could find a way. You probably have to use the one guy to build out of an acorn right.
Valkysas
11-05-2005, 12:29 AM
the only legitimate way would be to have a pokemon hold it (in G and S, dont know about the advance games) and trade that pokemon to a second copy of the game. thats a lot of work to do over and over just to accumilate multiple master balls.
The same could be said about any game involving any form of collecting.
HolyPhoenix
11-05-2005, 12:34 AM
I wouldn't think that about Final Fantasy. I believe that there stories are all different. But you guys may seem similarities in them that make them pretty close. Something more than just the magic names and stuff. But yeah most games it can.
Valkysas
11-05-2005, 12:43 AM
Final Fantasy isnt a game based on collecting things.

Oh yeah, sorry I am being retarded and not reading things properly. I thought you said any game that has a sequal. It's got to be the building editor in RPG Maker 2. I keep trying to put a texture down and it is all wierd. Then when I finally got that I went to the map editor. I guess after so much time of not using it you have to get use to it again.
My excuses are really bad arn't they? LOL :lol

I go to a school that teaches grammar like it was the only way to live. I still can't use grammar properly most of the time so I think I probably have a learning disability. I already knew all of that stuff on the link. I just have the hardest time applying it.
By the way, I think I am going to try and pick Gold Version back up. So I can recreate my invinsible pokemon and defeat my brothers in battle. Bayleef rocks.

*Draygone sends out Typhlosion*
I own the Crystal Version, so I get a few nice bonuses. Like for example, trainers calling your cell for more than just to battle.
One thing I don't like about GS, was how the inclusion of Kanto was implimented. While it pretty much made GS the biggest Pokemon game so far, it seemed a bit emptier than Johto. Not to mention the horrible battle theme translation, and the translated Gym Leader Battle theme was almost unrecognizable at first. A few of the levels had also changed, like the route between Vermillion (SS Anne) and Saffron (Sabrina's city) was shorter, and the Viridian Forest no longer seemed to exist.

Hey that is cheap. Using a fire pokemon on my leaf. Oh well I always beat my brother who used him anyway.
I guess since you one that I will choose Blastroids.

I stopped liking Pokemon after Yellow. But I love playing the Yu-Gi-Oh games. I rented Nightmare Troubadour and could hardly put it down for the two weeks. Just thought I'd join in the conversation even though I have nothing substantive to add. I'm bored so what do ya expect?
