Local law just passed in Colorado legalizing up to 1 oz possession of marijuana if you're over 21, first step. This is a nice first step.

It's so strange that Boulder is one of the most libral cities in the country and just a scant two hours away Colorado Spings is one of the most conservative.

See the thing is, it's still illegal in state law and national law, which supersides city law. So it's really just a token gesture.

But wouldn't that mean if you're pulled over by a local officer with pot, they wouldn't care, where as if it was a State Trooper or Federal Officer you would be ****ed?
