Wow, I didn't think it was coming out this early; did anyone pick it up yesterday? I'll buy it tomorrow after my classes.

If you haven't heard of this game, it’s the latest creation by Harmonix and Red Octane (Frequency). It features 30 licensed tracks and comes with a custom guitar controller.

What, no love? I got it today and it is FANTASTIC!!! I love this game, but I can't belief how hard it is. The songs play out wonderfully. The only thing, my hand hurts from playing the Strum Bar, I play for real and my hand doesn't hurt like this. Anyways, if you have an interest in music and games, definitely pick this up.

I love music games, but... Would you say it's very similar to Frequency.

Umm...Somewhat. I only remember playing Frequency 1 and 2 from demos, and this is comparably similar. You played all of the instruments at the same time in Frequency right? In this, obviously, you play only the guitar, there’s five fret buttons corresponding to the five note bars on the screen. There are sustained notes that you play, and you can use the whammy bar to vibrate the pitch back and forth (gives bonus points on certain notes). There is a bar to the left of the screen which gauges the crowd’s reaction to your playing. Once you have racked up enough points you can tilt the guitar controller up and you enter “Star Power” which makes everything louder and doubles your points and audience reaction.

I’m having a great time with it; I might need to go back to Easy difficulty, which only utilizes three fret buttons. This game will own you.

I like it lots. I got it last night and beat it on Normal, and the Hard and Expert difficulties look like that have a lot to offer.

I'd love to get this, but I have absolutely no spare cash because of my stupid car in the shop.

And I wouldn't have expected there to be any Zeppelin in the first place, because they're stingy as hell when it comes to licensing their music out for anything.

This thing costs a mint but I want it so ****ing bad, it has absolutely no bad press from anyone I trust. Plus I was the king of Amplitude back in the day, so this is a must-have. I'm just gonna splurge and buy it. **** saving for the PS3.
