Okay, this thing is coming out on March 24th, whether you love it or hate it, and that means it's time for an official topic about it.

So now, instead of starting a new topic for every piece of PSP news just put it in here. Also, I guess you could put your opinions or, if you already imported one, your actual experiences with the PSP.

I know I'll be waiting right in line to get one with the value pack as soon as it gets here. For the three games that come with the launch pack I'll probably pick up:

Metal Gear Ac!d
Death Jr.
NFL Street
and then seperately I'll probably buy Gran Turismo 4.

...and that oh so sweet free copy of Spiderman 2 on UMD. Good thing I held out and never bought it on DVD.

I am not getting it till two things happen.

1st. Price goes down a whole lot!

2nd. Really good games (mainly rpgs) appear on the system.

Until then...I won't.

I would like to get the wipeout game for it, cause I love sleek futuristic racers and it's a damn shame that there have been barely any in this console generation.

Then again...there was that ONE Fzero game....and that ONE good Xtreme G game...and that ONE Kinetica game...

I am open to the possibility that it will be a good system.

However, I don't think the first run of these will have very good build quality.

I'll have to wait and see on this one.

The video is kind of lame, also.

Believe me, I'd love to love the PSP and Sony can easily EASILY make that happen. They have to DECREASE the prices of EVERYTHING. $50 portable games? PUH-LEEEEZE. And FIX everything. Sony's notorious for shoddy Playstation hardware. Just fix everything. If I hear about Disc Read Errors... Goddammit.

And yeah, some cool games would be cool too.

Ac!d isn't a card game. Jeez. A card game is where you have a deck of cards and go up to people and duel their cards, like "I CHELENGE YUO TO A CARDS DUAL". MGA is just a strategy game where cards represent your choices. They could've made it a menu and it would've done the exact same thing.

I wont get it unless Armored Core: Formula Front is released for it. and if it isnt, I can easily hold off on it until agetec lets everyone know if they're releasing the next King's Field game on it.

those two games will honestly determine if I buy the thing. they are my own personal "killer apps".

I'm glad they fixed the square button, but I'm still worried about the screen, which is well known to have a ton of dead pixels. they should take nintendo's policy where if there's just one dead pixel, they will replace the whole unit.

I'm like, 99% sure they're releasing an Armored Core on PSP. You probably know better than me but I've read somewhere that they are. I'll see if I can find a source.

How come I haven't heard much about RPGs on either system? Now that the systems are 3D, we won't be seeing as many handheld RPGs? Show me a good RPG on the system (maybe a Dragon Warrior; for some reason I really like the series), and maybe then I'll get it. Final Fantasy? I've got plenty of those already.

game stores say formula front is coming, but agetec has said NOTHING officially, or unofficially.

I don't think I'll be getting it any time soon. People around here are all hyped up about it because of Gran Turismo and because it plays music and videos, but that just doesn't exite me a whole lot. I woul dbuy it if it was the same price as the DS though. I would love to have Dark Stalkers on a portable system and Ridge Racers looks hot too.

The thought of MGA cracks me up. I can see it now. One hour cutscene -> card game starts -> 5 codec interruptions before the card game is over -> card game ends -> Colonel calls you telling you that you've been playing for a long time and you should probably recharge the PSP's battery.
