Synthesizer Program

Can anyone reccomend a sythesizer program for me to compose and play my own MIDIs with? Well, compose to the extent of the artistic talent I have.

Any help is much appreciated.

I don't know any freeware or commercial apps, but here's something to look into:

They will allow MIDI downloads soon.

In the meantime, Manyak, what types of commercial apps would you suggest? I'm curious, meself.

That's a MIDI program? I thought it was something in lieu of other composer programs like MAGIX Music Maker.

Anvil Studio.
Pretty good for free. A little difficult to work with sometimes, but gets the job done.

Thanks, Translucid. I'm currently working on a version of the Star Trek: Voyager theme. I'm taking requestrs, too, but a)You can probably find what you want on the web and b) I wouldn't trust me to do more than an amateur job...
