    RPGM Wiki

I'm thinking of setting up an RPGM Wikipedia. What do you think?

I'd be mildly interested in it.

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THIS WIKIPEDIA IS!

ALSO I CANNOT CONTROL THE VOLUME OF MY VOICE!

        Here's Wikipedia's definition of Wikipedia

Basically you can just think of it like a site that anybody is free to modify.

I'm not quite sure how this would work with RPG Maker. Are you talking a wiki where we **** around, or an actual RPG Maker Wiki where we post reviews, tips, etc?

I am content with posting on WikiNancy. Not a bad idea though, RPGMProgrammer.

              So, uh, yeah.

                Re: RPGM Wiki

For the most part, I picture it a large RPGM database with information on the makers, their features, script functions and perhaps even an archive of different games made with it. Not to mention various helpful tips regarding implementing/manipulating said functions and setting things up properly. Not necessarily tutorials, though.

Also, if I feel like it, I may allow entries for select members of the community whom provided/currently provide great benefit. Or something.

Uh, wikis work best if it's open to anyone.

if it was open to everyone, wouldnt it get filled with stuff by the piraters?

                      Re: RPGM Wiki

That's the beauty of Wikis. Stuff like that gets axed fairly quickly. I can't imagine it being that popular and the recent changes page shouldn't change nearly fast enough for something to get by. Wiki updaters act as QA, and stuff like that doesn't happen.

                        That's the plan, Slowperson.

OOH, I misread. You mean you'll allow for there to be pages about specific members that deserve it. I thought you ment that only specific memebers could update.

Oh, I misunderstood, too. That's a pretty decent idea then. Would you make it a branch off the pavilion, or a totally seperate site?

If it's fine with Paul, branching off the site would be a nice idea.
