DB Budokai Tenkaichi

I rented this game and I don't seem to think it is that good. For me I loved the other Budokai games (except 2 I havn't tried it yet) but I loved 1 and 3. I don't know why but when I tried this one it seemed to have been messed up. Has anyone else seen this in it? Does anyone understand why I can't do all of my special moves also? It's getting annoying not being able to do an attack and I go look at skill list and it is faded out.

I bought, own it and pwnd it.

Its a cool game and has a pretty steep learning curve for a DBZ game.


I like how the true the fighting is to the show

Your zipping around and flying and shooting **** at each other.

I think you just need to learn how to play it as I was stumped at first to.

I love fighting games (except tekken), and I find the budokai games (especially 3) to be really good. And tenkaichi looks like a solid game.

Some games take studying and practicing. When you get the hang of it you will own! The only problem I have with the game is still no online play. On every Budokai, I always win and that is getting old. Alot of times my opponents get mad because I beat them 90 times in a row and they only won once or twice.

Yeah I played it some more yesterday and I liked it more. Although 3 is still my favorite. One of the biggest things I hate is not being able to transform into super saiyan with people. I liked doing that while fighting not while selecting my character. And if you just do normal in Duel then Super Saiyan Trunks fighting with the bigger hair can beat anyone easily. I was SSJ3 with Goku and he was in that form and when he was charging I would shoot the main move at him and he just stood there like nothing happened. That seems kinda fake to me. But I am sure if I did the expirience curve thing he could get stronger than trunks.

One of my favorite aspects of the budokai games was the ability to transform. Transforming can be used as a cheap trick to stun your opponent when you are right next to them. I wonder why they took that ability out. BTW, I hate the survival fights! Damn you Frieza and Monkey Vegeta (or whatever its called.) Is it just me or does this game seem like DBZ sagas mixed with budokai?

Quite a bit for me. I didn't like sagas at all. This one is ok but it is still annoying. Why couldn't they leave the capsules for your moves. Instead there like errings that give you plus 4 attack and junk that you should be able to get by leveling up. I have decided to vie this game a 6/10. That 's one less than gamespot gave them. Although Gamespot at first gave them a 9/10 it kinda lowered since then.

I do like however that you must touch the ground out of the tournament ring in order to lose. That is nice. You can fly around outside of ring as long as you don't touch the ground.

you people DO know that this game was made by a completely different developer than the budokai games, right? thats why everything is so different.

No I didn't know that. These people don't do as good of a job as the people who did the 3rd one. I can't think of the company names right now or else I would post them and I am to lazy to get up and go check my games or change the website.

atari is the publisher. Spike made the new game, which is originally called "Dragon Ball Z: Sparking!"
