    IDEAS FOR EVERYONE

Well this is more of ideas for different people that i use for my own game so if you already know this kinda stuff then stop reading after you read about 3 lol
1.If you feel you haven't done much with the game your making make an epilouge where your characters have a new journey
2.If you can't think of what kinda game to make next make a sequel or perhaps a prolouge of your old game
3.Try to be really creative dont be a copy cat and have your character on a quest for 4 crystals
4.If your having trouble doing something forget about it find other ways an example your trying to see if you can make an animal hold a weapon if you cant find any way possible make a subsitute like an animal that has magic abilities instead of power
5.always stay in it don't say man this is too hard and quit playing then you'll most likely sell the game or never play it again
6.Never be afraid to ask questions online at this forum most all answers are very informational
7.Only thing left i have to say that is really cool to have is STORYTELLERS these are the heart of your game your cutscenes if you think of em that way. Always include tons of storytellers because you always wanna have a little break for player to get to know the characters they are playing
THANK YOU PLEASE REPLY GIVE ME FEEDBACK ON THIS LITTLE HELPFUL GUIDE

    Re: IDEAS FOR EVERYONE

I'm gonna try my best to not use storytellers, unless it's specifically meant to tell the story. If it's just the characters talking with each other, then I'm gonna see what I can do without the storyteller.

"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

um, what you said was common sense?
I didn't find it useful at all, but then again, you asked for feedback.
      I love lamp.

The last one's a somewhat obvious, but still VERY GOOD point. More so with RPGM3 than with any other RPGM, your story/characters/etc. will really be the only thing you have to offer in your game.

Idea #7 is definitely a must... I'm about 2/3 of the way through building my RPG Maker 3
game and have used 43 or so storytellers so far.

It's turning out to be a long one, too. My current playtest took me 23 hours to reach the last
          dungeon in the 3rd field.

Dang that's pretty far Dark and you apparently have great effeciency.

I have already used 96 characters, most of which are in one field and about 32 are in one village about 25 in another and small communities/bosses/party chars make up the rest.

Infact I plan for my Imperial City to be one file.

What I've been doing so far is put the minimum number of people I need for the story in the towns for now. I just have two more towns, two more dungeons, and two more fields to
make the story for. At this point I'll have used about 65% of the memory, then I'll go back and increase the populations of the story-centric towns, flesh out various events, add more hidden goodies, etc. I've used about a third of the available character slots, so I'll have plenty of room to add more.

What makes my game so long though is I am a fan of big, complicated dungeons (there are 13), and well balanced but tough battles.

Your project sounds pretty ambitious. Good luck on it, sounds like something to look forward to.

you can use the shadowX save trick

Frustrated with the limitations of RM3, I tried several different ways to make my RPG longer. Limitations such as the 100 characters and even Memory can sneak up on you quickly if you want to make a large RPG. Because you can fit up to "3 different RPGs" on one memory card (File A, B, and C), you could make your game continue into the next File. However, there is a problem with that. You can't continue your game where you left off with all of your experience, items, money, etc. Why? The In-Game Save Files from one RPG File won't match another RPG File. This is because they need to have the exact same data as the other. If there is ANY DIFFERENCE between them, In-Game Save Files will only work for the RPG File they were played on. But because of this, there is a little trick.

For the sake of this explanation, say your Memory Card for RM3 looks like this:

                FILE A - My RPG Part 1
                FILE B - My RPG Part 2
                FILE C - EMPTY

-In the Editor, load FILE B.
-Save FILE B to FILE A (BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE "FILE A" BACKED UP OR YOU WILL HAVE JUST SAVED OVER IT AND LOST THAT RPG FOREVER!!!!!!)
-"My RPG Part 2" is in FILE A.
                -Load FILE A.
-Select Play from the main menu.
                -Select Continue.

So what did this just do? All the In-Game Save Files from "FILE A - My RPG Part 1" are now associated with “FILE A – My RPG Part 2.” The RPG will continue from your last save point from "My RPG Part 1."

Now you can continue your RPG with the same data (experience, items, money, etc) from your first game. Just be careful that you did not remove anything you still need from “My RPG Part 1.” You will need to keep the last Map you saved on, the Heros in your current party, and Items. These need to be intact and unchanged in order for the In-Game Save File on File A to function properly. That data has to match up or this won’t work or will really mess things up. But don’t worry, just plan out what you need and won’t need to split your RPG up into two parts.

I hope this made sense. I have fully tested this and it works. This is the only method I was able to find to get around the limitation of RM3 in order to make a large RPG.
