What the HELL does THAT mean?!?!!?Originally posted by MasterSlowPokeYou need to register your PS2's MAC Address with your IT Department.
You can't use it on a home network that's MAC flitered, either. :rolleyes
I need a PS2 Network Adapter for MGS3:S eventually and I'm PROOOOBABLY gonna be playing it most at school.
So what's the DEALY-OH?

Well I use the network adaptor works fine with my modem also connected to my eMac. I use the AUTO set up at home and I instantly get through since I have cable. But if u have DSL you'll need to configure all the preferencial numbers. At school it depends, you may have to find the numbers from your tech advisor, but try auto set up to it first.Everything is a Riemann sum of a lot of nothing.

You'll probably have to go down to the department with the PS2 and they'll have to set it up for you. Remember that page you had to fill out when you first put your computer online at college? You need to do the same thing for the PS2, but there's no web browser that will let you register it to your name.
This system is in place in order to prevent people from leaching internet and univeristy acess. There's no way for it to tell the difference from a PS2 and a traditional computer, and it won't know that it's yours.
Also, if you get a router and use it in your room, this MIGHT also allow you to have access, but I doubt it.

We had no such thing.Remember that page you had to fill out when you first put your computer online at college?
EDIT: Doesn't matter anyways. I went to the IT department and they said they can't do what you suggested. What a waste of money.Last edited by John Mora; 10-27-2005, 12:15 PM.
