I've just started making my game and the name is so... flat. "Dreaming of Lorelei" is the current title. I'm not sure if I like it anymore. I want something memorable like "Chrono Trigger" or the "Final Fantasy" games. I'm just out of ideas. My game is definitely about revenge and lots of twists and turns. The main character's name is Ein, and the woman he eventually loves is named Lorelei. She fakes her death and then fights him in the end. They're the two main characters. Can anyone suggest a name?

Re: A Name???
Dreaming of Lorelei doesn't sound flat to me..."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Haha, good one.Originally posted by monsterblakeHow about "Vengence From Beyond" (if Lorelei is fights him in the end for revenge), "Absent Lover", "Ein's Loss", or "Holy Sh*t Lorelei's Dead! Oh Wait, No She Isn't! Wait! Why Is Lorelei Fighting Ein!?!?"
Thanks, I appreciate that. I guess I will keep it the same. I'm using RPGM3, by the way. Thanks a lot everybody!I couldn't think of a better name than dreaming of lorelei.Last edited by uetico; 10-27-2005, 03:26 PM.theghostORG -- My Collective Domain

Re: A Name???
Definitely sounds like it to me. If you are working on the very idea of the game then be just a little more vague about the twists, uetico. I have been tempted to tell others about my plot twists too. And as far as names go, your name seems to fit. You haven't really told us much else about what the game is about, so it will not be easy for us to help you with it. How about this for a name "Twilight Requiem."Originally posted by Pandemonium2004Didn't you just give away two big plot twists?I had to change accounts. Re: A Name???
Oh man it doesn't even have a synonam in the thesorous on word. That's sad. Time to look at dictionary.
It says "one of a class of poets and poet musicians, often of noble birth or knightly rank, and sometimes itinerant, living in South France, North Spain and Italy in the 11th, 12th and 13th cc. || a strolling minstrel"Last edited by HolyPhoenix; 10-28-2005, 11:39 AM.I was like a Cloud once!!!!

Re: A Name???
For troubadour, an almost apt synonym is gleeman. Also, minstrel and bard are pretty close in comparison.
When it comes to these words, I can't help but place gender to them because of books and video games. Bards are always male, gleemen are always male, troubadours are always female, etc. I know this isn't quite accurate, but it can fit into a situation quite nicely if you plan properly."Mindless killing doesn't do a lot for me anymore." - Sampson
