Had to do this for English... It started out alright, and then I got tired of homework near the end.
Sonnet 2
Like a bottled letter lost out at sea
Friday nights past shared a similar fate.
Insignificant amongst the debris
Of lesser events assembled to date
This night however, from the path it strayed
And put to shame what I then expected.
You entered, my heart's steady beat delayed
Beautiful, like a goddess perfected
My courage collected, I asked your name
And was presented with a gorgeous sound
Your graceful hand was only mine to claim
The love of my life, by chance I had found
Maybe some day you will feel as I do
When I can give all of myself to you
