I wish we had the religious version of Terrorist right now
Does anyone happen to have a link to any studies about the Catholic church's retention rate? Or ANY church's retention rate? Preferably in regards to confirmation?
Re: I wish we had the religious version of Terrorist right now
Rentention rate refers to the time period in which the basic knowledge of a faith can be retained. Confirmation would be just another notch in that time period. As for my personal experience: I have retained about 75% of my knowledge since confirmation.

Oh, well I havn't really ever thought of figuring that out. I don't think I have lost anything yet. But I still have time to go I guess. If anything I am still learning. I was confirmed two or three years ago.

Retention rate.
The ratio of people who JOIN the church to those who LEAVE the church.
I read that once Catholics get confirmed, many typically stop going to church; it's the last necessary sacrement of initiation, so they don't see a point in continuing to attend mass.
I was curious to see if there were actual STUDIES on this phenomenon. Looks like I'll need a new thesis.

God, Christmas mass at my Church sucks: it's the only time that many people go to Church so I usually get stuck standing in the back nearly suffocating to death for an hour.
