(Not done but still irritated with RPGM3)

    Ahem.

    Character Model

you can choose to customize the character's appearance. The default graphics for the character's class is the base that you begin working with, and you may alter this freely. However, remember that the character uses the character's class's default appearance in battle.

Bull****. Utter complete bull****. That's it, i'm done with it. I can't get my characters to look the same in battle? That's utterly ridiculous. Thanks alot Agetec.

Edit: If you want to know why I'm so ****ed over this, it's because it destroys the idea for my second game altogether. On my first game I was trying to make my healer use a staff, but give him the thief model, but of course I can't use the thief model in battle. So now he has to look like a wussy guy in a robe if he wants to carry a staff.

It's worse because I can't make "Little Neil's Adventure". You can only use swords for adventurers and warriors and great swords can only be used with knights. That means if you want a guy to use a huge freakin sword, he has to look like a roman ***** in battle. ****in retarded.

You can use the weapon trick thingee. That changes their appereance in battle.

I don't understand what you mean by you can't use the theif model in battle. The class models are the same as the people models. And if you read the "Use any weapone with any character" thread you should be able to fix your problem.

Yeah...I haven't had this problem you're having either. If you want the the guy to be the thief model in and out of battle, just make sure you are not changing the model to match the class model you're doing the weapon trick with.

Oi, ok I'll try that. It's good having a RPGMaker gaminig community, i'll give you that much.

DO you know if it's possible to alter items then so you can make an item stronger?

I'm trying the trick. (And yes it worked)

Seriously though, we shouldn't have to go through this bull**** to equip anything on any character.

Agreed. I mean, how many anime out there has non-strong guy looking characters weilding a freaking big sword? We should be able to do the same without tricking the game.

I wish we had some way to communicate with the developers at Enterbrain and runtime to find out why they left out certain features, and did things the way they did. I'd feel a lot less disppointed in RM3 if I found out there were good reasons for the limitations from a development standpoint. But without knowing anything about the process they went through to create this new engine we can only guess at the reasons.

maybe I can organize some kind of chatroom-thing with someone from agetec, so everyone can ask whatever they want?

Hey, got a quick question. Does that trick work on animal characters. such as, i am using the lizardman character as my main character, but i want to give him a regular old broadsword. Will it work, because he is an "animal" character, instead of a "male" character? or can it work with anyone?
