I think it would be a good idea to make smily code for the PS2 key symbols, have one for [], X, O, and /_\ yeah we can use the abreviated forms(<<<) but it woul;d be cooler to have actual button icons for em.

We wouldn't really need them. [], O, X, and /\ are good enough, IMO. Though I'm not against them either.

considering how much the buttons are mentioned in RPG Maker tutorials, this would be a really good idea. it'll help the button commands stand out more too. I'll get on it tonight.
