Mario Kart is speeding to the Nintendo DS, and to celebrate Nintendo is releasing a special bundle. On November 28th the Hot Rod Red Nintendo DS will be packed in with Mario Kart DS for a special price of $149.99. The package will also include decals to place on your DS to show your racing form. Mario Kart DS will be available on November 14th. We'll have much more on Mario Kart DS in the coming weeks.

I probably won't put any decals on mine, unless they're easily removed without any adhesive residue. But the red, MY GOD THE RED!!!

i'd like to get a ds, but i definitely won't be getting a bright red one.. to me, stuff like this is pure novelty.

Well, sure it's just a novelty (In fact, 90% of what Nintendo's done lately is) but I like red more than blue. I wish they'd had multiple colors available at launch instead of releasing a new color every season.

And I think I've finally been sold on a DS. Since I don't play my GBA games multiplayer, that inability on a DS isn't even an issue with me. So I can finally say bye-bye to my hand-cramping SP and upgrade! I don't think I'll be getting Mario Kart, though. I'll probably start with Advance Wars: Dual Strike.

Considering that the new generation of handhelds have an average game price of $40 It's a pretty good deal. Plus I've always liked Mario Kart. I'll think about it.

And 90% of Nintendo's business strategy for the next 20 years is novelty.
