I picked up this game called Ogre Battle 64 for the N64 awhile ago that turned out to be a pretty sweet game (after I dug my N64 out of a pile of dust. I know that a prequel was put out for the Playstation (Ogre battle 63?), and the ending I got clearly was leading into a sequel. I was wondering if anybody has played or heard anything about a sequel. Or if you've played the playstation game, what did you think? I was thinking about getting it since I liked the N64 version.

Re: Ogre Battle
I always had a special place in my heart for the SNES Ogrebattle. As far as I know all the other ones are just ports of it. Tactics Ogre was okay. It's probably the first tactics game that used the grid battlefield. But I was spoiled by playing FFT first and Tactics Ogre had too steep a learning curve for me to continue playing it after the first few battles.
Okay I checked at gamefaqs and it looks like the N64 Ogre battle is a different game. But I do think that all other Ogre Battles are still March of the Black Queen.Last edited by IRC; 10-13-2005, 02:50 PM. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

Re: Ogre Battle
I'll always remember Ogre Battle 64 for being a semi-rare game I traded in for $22.
Not that I'm interested in playing it (I'm more into tactical RPGs than strategy RPGs), but I just know I could've sold it on eBay for something like $60 or so.

Re: Ogre Battle
The only thing I remember about N64 Ogre Battle was that:
A) There were cameos from the original Ogre Battle game, and
B) There was no way to constantly make money in the game that I could find. You had a finite amount of money awarded to you that you had to make the most of.
If I can prove that last point wrong I wouldn't mind going back to play it.

Re: Ogre Battle
There is a glitch to make it so you get 255 of any item. You can just sell what you don't want and make lots of money. Or you can make lots of ali. Items so you can make your people good or bad at will, to get different units.
go to game faqs and search Ogre Battle 64 click on codes not faqs. it sounds hard but is easy to do the glitch once you get the hang of it.Last edited by OrinMaxden; 10-15-2005, 07:10 AM.
