    With nearly 40% space...

I guess I should really work on some of the main story and not the side quests. Well so far, I've got about 4 good solid quests in, including the tutorial part. Hopefully I can fit everything I want into the game, but I might have to scrap some ideas.

I could release a demo, if I had a Max drive.

It should be fine, alot of rpg's just focus on story to much so side quests are
    always good to have.
But I was thinking of a plan to dye one's whiskers green.

I for one aint gonna limit myself. If I have to find a way to span my game across multiple files then it will be that way.

Everyone using rpgm1/3 are limiting themselves.

Well, Ive made a 6 hour game in three weeks using RPGM3. I may be limited in
options, but really, its only streamlined the production. I spent 3 years working on a 15 hour RPGM 1 game. RPGM 3 just has the best effort to product ratio of the console makers(havent played XP yet). You have to give
credit for rpgm3 being super easy to use (in relation). But wait, do you have RPGM3 Williamkirk? (by the way, Im planning on checking out palidin once im done writing this new game)

To avoid getting to the 100% too early, I plan on just working on the story aspect of the game first. Any % left over will go to side quests and such. Of course, some of my side quests have to in my game
Current Project: Writing the story for my next game. That is all.

Thank you Alutra!! I know what you mean. The story isn't limited in any of the makers, which in my opinion is the most important aspect of an rpg. I was just putting down rpgm1 and 3 because 2's my favorite.

To stay on topic: sidequests are both good and bad for a game. They distract the player from the story at hand, yet they give the player freedom in what to do and when. I think this is why many rpgs only have sidequests at the very end. If your game has a gripping story that makes the player want to advance forward in the game, I wouldn't put sidequests. Of course what is a 'gripping story that makes the player want to advance forward in the game' is debatable, and that's where the uncertainty comes in.

edit: Oops. I don't have rpgm3 yet since I'm fairly sure I won't make anything with it, but I'm definitely going to get it in a few months (price'll drop) to play others' games. I think this'll work out well for me too since I'll be rather foreign to the game engine and stuff (so I should have more fun oohing and aweing at the graphics and what not when playing others' games).

Can't really do that with this game since it's mostly non-linear.

So, would you say that 40% is accurate to what you want to have in your game?
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Well we'll see. I'm not gonna really worry about memory issues until it gets around 80%. Truthfully, I'm gonna try to get as close to 100% as I can get it.
