I'm looking around the events, and I check out the Ending event command. It gives me two slots to put in a storyteller. One says "ending sequence", the other "credit sequence".
What's the difference? It seems like all they do is activate one or two storytellers with just a single command. Aside from if you wanted a game to have multiple endings but wanted to keep part of the ending the same, I see no point to having the ending consist of two storytellers.
What's more, it doesn't show the game credits after they're done. I really miss the feature from RPGM1. Sure you could create your own credits in RPGM2 (though you had to painstakingly copy the credits in RPGM2's intro), but RPGM3 just doesn't do scrolling credits too well, since there's no automatic text option that I can tell.
