    The Lost Islands

(I hope I'm posting this in the right place...I hate being an annoying n00b...)

Anyway, my game is The Lost Islands.

A green-haired warrior-mage washes up, half-drowned and severely beaten, on Wellspring Island, where a Healer named Celinda finds her and heals her.
After a pitched internal battle with the evil part of her brain, the girl comes to and finds she has amnesia.

Posessed with a pitiable but consuming desire to help everyone, she goes out and starts doing good deeds for the suffering townsfolk.
Along the way, she finds 6 misplaced heroes who team up with her.

Her ultimate goal is to regain her lost memory and defeat the Black Void, but that victory may come at the cost of her sanity and quite possibly her life...!

Special Features Include (I stand on the shoulders of giants... ):
    - Item Creation
    - Optional Quests
    - A Carnival full of minigames
    - Bizzarre humor
    - A House for your party, your choice of 3 designs
    - Fetch quests galore (not to some peoples' taste, I know...)
    - Random encounters only in designated 'Monster Zones'.

Somebody count: how many RPG cliches did I use?

Plot sounds pretty cool, don't know about the fetch quests though o_0

And personally, amnesia games annoy me o_0

I think you should have the main character wear this big helmet the whole time and then at the end remove this big helmet and it will be a girl! Everyone will have assumed it's a guy...

Also put frogs in your game, it helps.

Sounds interesting. Is this game done or are you still working on it? Which RPG Maker is this for?

It's a decent start at least. I tend not to put to much stock into these kinds of topics unless they're paragraphs long. With only a few sentences everyone's game sounds stupid unless you have something drastically different about the story or setting like Jesus's lost pants or lord of the shoe.

My game is set in a desert where the main characters ends up on a quest to find the water elemental and return water to the desert (it's still a desert but just with more water). Also there's some stuff about one of the party members being the chosen one of his desert tribe because he has blue skin(he's the reason you go on the water quest) and the main hero's search for his kidnapped friend.

Just from that it seems pretty basic even for me. But if I'm able to put what I've got thought out so far(making it up as I go along) into the game properly I think I'll have a game that's enjoyable and interesting and that's really all I can ask for. That and not to have some dumbass who I've never heard of on the boards rip my game.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

I'm still working on it; I've got about 10% of the script written so far, (filling up an entire one-subject notebook and half of another, if that tells you anything. ) right up to the tail end of the second Alliance Quest.
And my game is for the first RPGM.

Man, takes me back to college when I was still mapping out where I wanted to go with my game. Every semester, one class's notebook would be more filled with stuff for my game than actual class notes. And when I actually started making the game, they became filled with checklists. I bet I made around 100 pages of checklists before I was done with it. But hey, 1 1/2 notebooks and you're only 10% done, sounds like you're off to a good start!

Eventually I plan to have the script posted on my homepage somewhere, so masochistic persons can read it.

j/k, it's actually sort of amusing: sing kareoke, speak the burlesque 'pirate' patois, interfere in your best friends' love lives...

                      Re: The Lost Islands

You can always have people call her Amnesia Chick like 'The Long Kiss Goodnight.'

That said, I have no opinion about this one way or the other. Amnesiac-laden characters are to be found in dozens of RPGs in some fashion or another, and the hero/heroine having amnesia is boring. I like my heroes to have a strong sense of where they came from, and then they get tossed into something they have no grasp of that completely questions their moral fiber and their virtues and values, and they end up confused a lot.

                      But that's just me.

I do, however, wish to know more of this story before I pass final judgment. Stories like this that have nothing but vague details given about them can go in almost any direction, and I'm interested to know how this one will turn out.
