Project Nomed Legna

First off, I like to say it is great that I have finally registered (I've often visited the site.) Now down to business, ever sense RPGM3 came out I've been working on my new game Nomed Legna. This is the basic storyline of the game:

"Legend tales of a nation that mocked God, but in the blink of an eye it was destroyed. There appeared to be no survivors making the world nothing more than a massive graveyard... But there is always hope. God spared one woman, she was to bring forth new life and begin a glorious new future. For a while this dream seemed to have come true. That is until a traitor summoned demons into this world."

The game takes place 20,000 years into our future... well actually we are all dead anyway, so I guess I should say a whole new future. Xero, the protagonist, is a samurai with a very enteresting heritage. He is a half-demon (which is common in video games) and half angel. How he even came into existence isn't yet known. Xero lives on the small island Neo Eden, where he lives a happy life with his love Silia and his best friend Abel. Cain, Abel's brother becomes jealous of Xero's power and sacrifices his own brother to become a demon. Our hero gets ****ed and of course seeks revenge. Unfortunately, Cain also takes a hostage, Silia! Xero finally catches up with Cain to find out that Silia has become Cain's first meal. After a brutal battle Cain escapes along with thousands of demons. Can Xero possibly hunt down a demon that could be anywhere on Earth?

So what do you think? On a scale through 1-10 how is it? Leave any suggestions, but don't totally dis me if you don't like it. Thanks.

Very interesting. I really like the Biblical reference you made between Kain and Abel. You should add more of them. Anyway, it sounds like you have a steady story going, and it could end up being a pretty decent game.

Yes!!! Thank you for comments, it means alot to me. I do plan on using more Biblical references. I intend to go all out on this game... well at least as much as can be helped. Nomed Legna is to be the first of a series of three so I don't want to go over board. If anyone has any ideas that I could add to the game or storyline, feel free to leave any suggestions. Once again, Dyne, thank you for your comments and if possible could you help me out with some more Biblical references. Much appreciated.

Ok...so this traitor would have to be in heaven...not on earth...considering you just said that all humans but one woman lived....


You should also explain why demons and angels would be hooking up.

It sounds good so far. What I think I'd do is make some smaller story with Xero, Cain, and Abel fighting alongside eachother on one island/continent and have these events gradually happen throughout, then use that as a key turning point in the story (also going from 1 continent to whole world, similar to how Chrono Cross played it out at first). Maybe have another story going at once as well (the story that involves them fighting alongside each other first), that ends up melding with the one you've said (Cain joins enemy, his intentions are unknown, and he ends up being final boss).

Vonwert, you missed a little detail. The one woman that was spared brought forth life and humanity started over again. Those aren't the exact words used, but that is pretty much what I said. Also remember that the game takes place 20,000 years later, which is more than enough time for humans to repopulate. The demons were summoned after the 20,000 years have passed, but I understand how you may have misunderstood that. Also I can't explain why a demon and angel would hook up because that would be a MAJOR SPOILER. I hope this clears some things up.

WilliamKirk, great idea, I will definitly find a way to put something like this in the game. Most likely this will be part of a flashback kind of like in FF7. Also I love Chrono Cross so I'll try to do something along those lines. One last thing,
Cain will not be the final boss. The boss will be someone alot more powerful and evil than Cain, but that information is also a MAJOR SPOILER.

So far so good with the ideas. Next time I post I will give a list of some of the main characters that will be in Nomed Legna (nothing too much of a spoiler, though.) Pandemonium2004, thanks for the complement and to anwser your question Nomed Legna means Demon Angel (a simple trick, but it sounds cool.)

Much appreciated, Pandemonium2004, I guess I was wrong about no one giving a damn. The main reason for the list was simply just to see if anyone could come up with any enteresting ideas for them. I enjoy hearing any suggestions that people think would be a good idea. Good games usually don't just become good with only one persons ideas. I like a nice assortment of other ideas.

Draygone, I just didn't know how to respond to what you said. I hope I didn't bother you any. If you would of found something bad about it its okay if you tell me, just say if there is anyway to fix or make it better. Thank you guys for giving a damn.
