So I was taking my sister home tonight, when we saw what appeared to be three dogs crossing the road by the city park. But when we got closer, we realized that they were raccoons. Two of them went into the drainpipe that goes under the road, while the last stood on its legs and stared at us as we slowly drove by. Didn't know we had raccoons around here. This is the first time I've seen one in the wild, and I didn't know they got that big. That certainly tops the lone beaver that also lives near the city park. We hardly have what you call a forest in town. At the edge yeah, there's a forest. The park's not terribly far from it, but I never knew what sort of things lived in it.
So, anybody else have any interesting wildlife where they live? You know, seemingly out-of-the-ordinary stuff that you rarely see.
